On the 1st of February 2026, a highly distinguished and solemn ceremony was convened to honour His Lordship. Mayor of Peace. Prof. GeorDavie, with the formal conferment of the Certificate of Distinguished Professorship, in profound recognition of his outstanding academic distinction, exemplary leadership, invaluable service and outstanding contribution to society.

The occasion was further marked by the official launch of two of his authored books, Peace and Diplomacy, and Africa One: The Continent of Light, which reflect his deep understanding, knowledge, intellectual excellence, and commitment to advancing knowledge for the benefit of society. In addition to all that took place, he was presented with various gifts as a symbol of appreciation, respect, and gratitude for his dedicated service and inspirational work.
